Roller table – dry dirt seperator

The Glaß & Wolff roller table dry dirt separator separates all pieces that are smaller than the gap width of the dry roller grate and transports the beets to the beet washing system.

The roller table dry dirt separator is made of a sturdy carrier frame and is used as a soil separator. The machine width and the number of shafts are variable. The construction of our roller grates differs substantially in the construction of the shaft. In our design, the shaft nuts and sealing packages are completely relocated from the dirty side to the outside.

The special split seals can quickly and easily be replaced while the shafts are assembled. For our roller grates, it is even possible to retighten the lock nuts from outside while the shafts are assembled. The thread of the shafts (sealed away from dirt) can be lubricated without any great difficulty. Even swapping the shafts is a fast task thanks to our simple modular system.

Every other shaft, the roller table dry dirt separator plates are scraped with special cleaning blades. The cleaning blades scrape free adhering matter from the upstream and downstream shafts. The motors alternate between different speeds. The discs are moulded from a special rubber. Using a star-shaped geometry, the beets are spread across the entire surface of the machine and conveyed in a single layer. During handling, the beets are also rotated, which removes adhering matter.
